Network meetings
Annual Coordinator/Network meeting
Every year NordBiz arranges a coordinator meeting, where the head coordinator together with the co-application coordinators plans the year ahead. Different partner institutions every year arrange the annual coordinator meeting. In 2011 (middle of August), the meeting will take place at ISM University of Management and Economics in Lithuani.
The agenda for the annual coordinator meeting:
-
Financial report from previous academic year.
-
Budget - How to divide the money for this coming academic year: which meetings and projects should be carried out? How many students can we send on “normal exchange”, “double degree”, and also our intensive courses NBPM and BSSD? How many teachers can we send on teacher exchange?
-
Presentation of each partner university to the students as well as possibilities for NordPlus-grants.
-
Initiatives for the future (application 2012/2013).
-
Budget discussion for 2011/2012 - how to divide the project money for the BSSD course.
-
Manpower for activities in NordPlus, to calculate and discuss.
-
Presentation from colleague(s) at the host institution (ISM) of new courses/programs at the university, linked to our co-operation.
-
General presentation of new activities at each partner university.
-
Looking at the student and teacher evaluations from previous year and give feedback for future improvements/changes.
Planning meetings for intensive course BSSD
Last year we arranged two meetings, which was necessary since the course would be running for the first time. This year we plan to have at least one meeting and depending on the outcome of that we will see if there will be a second planning meeting for the involved teachers.
The first meeting took place in September 2010. One teacher from each partner institution will participate in the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to do curriculum development of the intensive course “Business Strategies for Sustainable Development”. One important thing is to look at the course evaluations from the intensive week in Västerås in April 2011. The plan is to hold the course during the spring of 2012 in Norway.
Deans meeting
Our main priority is to assure the quality of all our activities within our NordBiz-network. We make sure that the participating universities will support our work. Therefore it is important that our “controllers” – the Deans, at our universities have the possibility to meet and discuss our work with focus on our intensive course BSSD and our double degree program.
The agenda for the Deans' meeting:
-
Introduction (presentation) of partners.
-
Status for each institution’s Business Programs and future developments.
-
Quality assurance of the double degree program BusinessPlus
-
Quality assurance of our intensive course Business Strategies for Sustainable Development.
-
Discuss the proposals from the coordinators for new activities within the NordBiz network: new intensive courses?
